Asked and answered....
Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at 12:32PM Mere minutes after my post yesterday, I got the funniest e-mail from my sweet Grandma Della. (Technically, she is my husband's maternal grandmother, but I have always claimed her as my own and I love her dearly.) Because I found her response to be hysterical, I wanted to share. She comments to me often on my blog, but always via e-mail and not the comment section on the blog. This particular response just tickled me!
When she mentions, Scott, he is her grown son who lives in another state. Karli, whom she went to for advice, is her 16 year-old great-granddaughter.
With her permission, here is the e-mail that she sent yesterday in response to my Facebook post:
Dear Sheila,
When I read your Blog today, I just had to respond to your Blog comments. I guess I'm as apprehensive as you
about Facebook.
Many of Scott's childhood friends are corresponding on Facebook. I was their Cub Scout leader and when they mentioned the good times we had, I decided to look into Facebook. I was shocked when I found I had actually joined it. I, too, have never sent a picture.
I did get one Email from a stranger who said I sounded like an interesting person. That frightened me, so I immediately deleted his Email, and never went back.
When I asked Karli how I could get out of it, she said "just don't go there!"
So I don't.
I will write later. Love, Della
