Sierra singing...Mary Did You Know

Two days before her middle school Christmas concert, Sierra began practicing to sing her memorized solo. Because it's one of my very favorite Christmas songs, Sierra chose to sing Mary Did You Know, which is not an easy piece.  Like a pro and without nerves, sweet little Sierra stood in front of the large church and rocked the house. It was beautiful! I've also posted a couple pictures from the evening. I love the one with her best little friends from her former school, who all came out to cheer her on. (How cool is that!) And, Miss Lia saved the day by bringing her flowers, which this flustered mom completely forgot. Thanks again, Lia!

Turn up your volume and enjoy.....

Sierra is totally awesome!! Her voice was so sweet and wonderful when she sang “Better Than A Hallelujah” last spring, but now her voice is maturing beyond her years. “Mary Did You Know” is a very difficult song to sing, and Sierra hit those high notes with the perfect pitch and with such fullness! WOW :-) She did such a wonderful job and her poise in front of all those people is amazing. Watching her sing makes one forget she is only a 7th grader. I am so proud of her! Just don’t forget that many moons ago I was the first one who asked to be her agent when she is ready to turn pro :-) :-) :-) Randall

Randall, you would make a terrific agent and would definitely be Sierra's first choice. Yes, I hear a lot of maturity in her voice and she just truly loves performing. This video that I posted was actually my mom's. My hands were shaking so much as I tried to video that my tape is painful to watch - makes you dizzy - it's awful. Am so glad that she has more courage than her old mom. Thanks for the very kind words, she was so glad you could hear her! She hopes to be on the BIG stage at CCV someday :) Blessings to you and Merry Christmas!

So imagine us sitting here in Ukraine wound up tight as we spend more time in our apartment. Can you say stir crazy? I pull up your blog, turn up the volume and immediately everyone runs to the couch to crowd around as I tell them it's CC. Tori and I were in tears and Carson is asking us why we are crying. Well, we tell them, we remember CC as a little girl and now this beautiful song. Incredible.

I'm so glad that it blessed you so far, far away! We are following you so very closely via your blog as you wait...many prayers for you, for the government there to work quickly to help you and other families trying to adopt before a moratorium is put into place and for your sweet, sweet girl.

Sierra is happy that her song brought sunshine to your little place in Ukraine. Loved seeing you all on the train....you look well and happy....We love you guys!
