Recital Time!
Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at 01:54PM Our once-a-year piano recital came with much trepidation for the participants and much pride for their parents. Playing the piano is non-negotiable in our home. It's something that our kids do as part of their growing up here and we hope that someday they will appreciate the many hours they've poured into this endeavor, realizing that it is a gift they earned and can use however they choose.
First up, was Colton, who rarely sits this still for very long and is seldom this serious. I love how spiffy he looked....my little man! I especially liked the shoes he chose to go with his outfit - his florescent green and blue Nike's. (So cute!) Here he is playing his two pieces.....

Next up was Buck, who does everything with preparedness, diligence and discipline. He, too, dressed for the event, always wearing a Motorola tie tac that belonged to his beloved Pop Pop. Big events like these are difficult for Buck as he so misses having his grandfather in the audience. I know my dad would be very proud! Here he is looking good and sounding great...

Finally, the girls, who played a suite of music. I appreciate seeing my athletic girls all dressed up for special occasions such as this. Beautiful!
