Family Update

Now that summer break has officially arrived at our house, I thought I'd post a brief update on the happenings of each inhabitant of our house............

AUDRA...

Officially finished her freshman year of HS and now tells everyone who asks that she's a sophmore.

Played varsity soccer and varsity softball for her school, making the All-Conference team in softball

Continues to volunteer at church, serving in the 3-4 year old classrooms

Has already begun her summer reading assignment, Les Miserables, for Honors English next year

Is joyful, bubbly, wonderfully social and LOUD

 

SIERRA...

Completed the 7th grade and is eager to be an 8th grader

Played volleyball, softball and basketball at school this year

Continues to sing like an angel at school choir concerts

Earned the Total Release award in basketball, for giving her all to the team and to the Lord

Recently broke her finger/hand playing basketball in choir class - sporting a neon green cast.

 

BUCK...

Completed the 5th grade and will move to the private Christian school with his sisters next year

Was named outstanding male citizen in his class for his exemplary character (with his teacher above)

Played basketball on the same team with his brother this year - it was great fun to watch

Played tackle football (his favorite sport) and got to be quarterback for his team - a 1st for him

Continues to enjoy memorizing Bible scripture 

Exceedingly handsome, is quite popular with the young ladies, according to his teachers

 

COLTON...

Finished 3rd grade and will move to the private Christian school next year - spent most of 3rd grade sans hair

First of our children to be kissed by both teachers on the last day of school (see above)

Played tennis and basketball this year, contemplating a move back to club soccer 

Although 9, still wears a 4 toddler size swim trunk

Works to control his Irish temper, complete with a very short fuse. Despite this, is an amazingly happy boy. 

Continues to believe that he will grow up and marry his mom

 

WADE...

Has not eaten a slice of bread, pasta noodle or potato since Nov & continues to go to the gym almost daily

Has lost 35 pounds (see above) and looks amazing - feels even better

Now desires to breed Piedmontese cattle, claims they are leaner than chicken

Is frequently found on his new ipad 2

Works extremely hard but always puts the Lord first and family second

 

SHEILA...

Is looking forward to a relaxing summer - so happy to have all my kids home

Looking forward to more reading time now that school is over

Planning family trips to Texas and Colorado for the summer

Grateful for each moment of this amazing life, grateful for God's grace and mercy

Thrilled my ASU softball team is headed to the college world series - Go Devils
