New Routine

After our first three days of school last week, we are settling into our new back-to-school routine. With this new routine, comes the onset of multiple athletic schedules. Sierra has not decided which sport she wants to do this fall, so we will wait for the nod from her. But, the rest of the crew is ready to go!  

Colton is going back to soccer after having taken a year off to play tennis and basketball, while Audra is eager to get back to her beloved softball, following an unpopular yet mandatory off-season imposed on her by her mom over the summer months. As she complained about taking a break, I explained the enemy of over-use, burn-out and ended with my final statement...you'll thank me later. 

And then there's Buckley.  As the kids were all swimming recently, I walked outside to check on them and could not believe what I saw. There he was, neck-high in the swimming pool with his football helmet on! There is no mystery in what his favorite sport is....and how very much he is looking forward to playing.
